This machine was designed using 3Nos. Prewo 14-05 Horizontal
tapping machine with multi-head and 1No.
Prewo 14-05 Vertical tapping machine with multi-head. This machine is capable
of tapping 12 holes within 25 secs per cycle.
Using Multi-Spindle Heads, these special purpose machines was
built to reduce CYCLE TIME, thereby increasing productivity.
When you use a PREWO SPM, for drilling and tapping the
possibility of missing out on an operation is NIL: They are far more cost
effective than machining centers, though similar production rates are achieved,
simply because the cost of tooling for
an SPM is much less. Furthermore multi heads can be mounted on SPM spindles,
whereas they cannot be used with Machining Centers.
